Practice of identifying letters and counting

The practice of letter identification and counting is being conducted through Anganwadi teachers and animators. They are endeavouring to gradually introduce children to numbers and letters using local songs, poems, stories, through various types of charts. Additionally, efforts are made to help children recognize the names and sounds of domestic and wild animals, identify fruits, flowers, vegetables, and engage in other essential activities. Ultimately, it has been observed that children in each Anganwadi center are progressively developing the skills of recognizing pictures, numbers, and letters, as well as improving their speaking and writing abilities through the use of diverse charts.
