Hausla Project

Haushla Project

Empowering tribal adolescent girls (15-20 yrs) through establishing 03 “Aavishkaar Centres for co-creation and learning” at Mandla district of MP

Asha Kiran Community Care Center (CCC)

An increased number of PLHIV have access to better quality of life and reduced vulnerability through improved clinical and care services, linking with relevant social services and community responses.

Child focused community development

To improve the quality of life of children through integrated action for holistic development of families with special focus on women.

People Led Development (PLD)

The project is to facilitate a Process in the community to bring conciousness about their issues, come together and discuss and plan to solve the issues through their initiatives.

25 villages of Mawai and Ghughri block of Mandla district. 

First phase - August 2012 to Sep 2015

Second Phase - August 2015 to Sep 2018

Ensuring education of all children with special focus on language on interstate border of MP/CG..

To Ensure quality education for Baiga tribal children who are inhabitats in boarder of MP and CG through promotion for use of multi lingual teaching and learning materials.

Total project villages - 21 of Mawai Block of Mandla district.

Project period - January 2014 to December 2016.

Funding Agency - NEG-FIRE, New Delhi

Sustainability through participation, Empowerment and Decentralization (SPED-III)

Save A Family Plan - Sustainability through Participation, Empowerment 
and Decentralization.
The program is focussed on creating a systematized process of capacity development that will equip communities to begin addressing their poverty-related issues through participatory planning and community action.

20 villages (5300 families) of Mawai block of Mandla district.

Project period is April 2011 to March 2016

Jeevika Project

Jeevika Project (Addressing Livelihood and Food Insecurity of deprived communities of 15 villages of Birsinghpur Pali Tehsil with Special Reference to Organic farming & NTFP). The project directly works with these vulnerable  communities through Self Help Groups (SHGs) and farmers groups and PRI system. Supported by CARITAS India.

15 villages of Birsinghpur pali and Kaekeli blocks of Umariya district.

Project period - October 2012 to September 2015 (03 Years)

WASH Project

“TOWARDS HEALTH AND DIGNITY”  Improving Water, Sanitation and   

 Hygiene (WASH) in Madhya Pradesh

81 Gram Panchayat - 174 villages of Mandla block

Project period - June 2014 to August 2015

Grihini Training Center

Grahini school at Chabi for Illiterate and semi literate girls

10 months course on:

  • Making of mattresses, quilt pillows etc.
  • Tailoring & cutting
  • Knitting, needle work, embroidery work
  • Photo framing,
  • Jewelery making
  • Candle making
  • Making of flowers & decoration items

Classes on Home Management, Mother & Child Care, Moral Education, Community Development, Health & Hygiene, First Aid, General Knowledge, Awareness on HIV AIDS, Basic

About Us

Jabalpur Diocesan Social Service Society (JDSSS) is a grass root level society journeying with the rural poor for their self-reliance and dignity in the society. JDSSS is an NGO and the social work wing of the Diocese of Jabalpur in Madhya Pradesh. It was established in the year 1979 to carry out the social works in the diocese. The society was registered on 19th November, 1993 under the “Society Registration Act 1973.
